Downloading Statements to Your Cell Phone

Step-by-Step Guide Dowloading Documents to your Cell Phone and Uploading Documents to Peterson Zeyer Law

1. Most banks allow you to download statements through their mobile banking app or website.
For Both iPhone and Android:
  1. Open Your Bank’s App or Website:
    • Use the app if available, or go to your bank’s website in a web browser (like Safari or Chrome).
  2. Log In to Your Account.
  3. Find the "Statement" Tab or Section:
    • Look for a menu option like "Statements," "Documents," or "E-Statements."
  4. Select the Desired Statement:
    • Choose the account and the specific month or year you need.
  5. Download the Statement:
    • Tap "Download" or "Save as PDF" (most banks provide statements in PDF format).
    • A download confirmation may appear.
    • The statement should automatically download to your File Folder.

2. Locating the Downloaded Statement on Your Phone: Where your statement is saved depends on your phone and browser settings.
For iPhone (iOS) Users:
  1. Open the Files App (pre-installed on all iPhones).
  2. Navigate to "Downloads" (under "On My iPhone" or "iCloud Drive" if using Safari).
  3. If using a different browser (like Chrome), go to Chrome > Menu (three dots) > Downloads.
  4. Tap the statement file to open and view it.
For Android Users:
  1. Open the Files App (also called "My Files" on Samsung devices).
  2. Go to Downloads (this is the default location for most browsers).
  3. If using Chrome, open the Chrome App > Tap the three dots (menu) > Downloads.
  4. Tap the statement file to open and confirm it's the right document.

3. Uploading the Statement to a Website: Once you've located your statement, follow these steps to upload it.
For Both iPhone and Android:
  1. Open the website where you need to upload the statement.
  2. Navigate to the upload section (often found under "Submit Documents" or "Upload Files").
  3. Tap "Choose File" or "Upload" (wording may vary by website).
  4. Select "Files" or "Browse" (this opens your phone’s file manager).
  5. Find and tap the bank statement PDF file.
  6. Confirm the upload by clicking "Submit" or "Upload" on the website.
  7. Wait for the confirmation message that the file was successfully uploaded.
